At 135m high The London Eye towers above London's South Bank, making it the tallest observation wheel in the world.
The wheel was the idea of architects Architects David Marks and Julia Barfield as an entry for a Millennium celebration competition.
It was opened in 2000 and carries over 15,000 passengers a day in 32 enclosed capsules. They can enjoy birds-eye views for 25 miles in every direction, with even Windsor Castle visible on clear days.
