Children's wildlife photography competition
For the first time, British Waterways held a separate children's wildlife photography competition as part of the wildlife survey. This was open to all children aged 14 and under.
Children were asked to send in their photographs of any wildlife taken on or near their local canal or river.
There were many entries to the competition and the winner received a £50 voucher. As there were so many good images, the judges decided to also include some highly commended photos in the results.
