It was a well kept secret until now, that Santa likes to hide away in the forest by the Falkirk Wheel to make final preparations for Christmas Eve’s toy deliveries. However, generous Santa is now inviting kids, young and old, to come and visit him in the run up to the big night from Saturday 13 December.
This will be a truly magical and fun-filled experience for all, and as well as meeting Santa himself, visitors may also catch a glimpse of his elves hard at work!
Visitors will board the festive fun boat which will take them from the visitor centre to the top of The Wheel. Once at the top the festive fun boat will signal their arrival and let Santa’s elves know that he has some visitors.
As the location is top secret, the boat will be guided through a tunnel to the Secret Village where everyone will meet Santa and receive a special present, before returning to the visitor centre.
Santa will open his spectacular Christmas wonderland on Saturday 13 December and Sunday 14 December, and from Saturday 20 to Wednesday 24 December. Due to the overwhelming success of last year’s event, early booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
The boat trips are scheduled to run at: 11.50am, 12.20pm, 1.10pm, 1.50pm, 2.30pm, 3.10pm, 3.50pm, 4.30pm, 5.10pm, 5.50pm, and 6.30pm. Please note that on Christmas Eve, the last boat trip will be at 4.30pm.
To reserve your trip, call the booking line 08700 500 208 or go on-line at www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk to find out more.
The boat trips cost £10 per person, which includes a children’s gift, and a mince pie and mulled wine for adults.
