Shropshire Union Canal»

Throughout the winter season, Audlem Mill, situated alongside the Shropshire Union Canal in south Cheshire, will be running a series of Needlework and Craft Courses.

Some of the classes have a canal theme, and include learning how to make boatwomen's bonnets, boat fender making, and crochet, which is often seen in narrowboat cabins. Others feature various popular crafts such as teddy bear making, rag rugging, spinning, latch hook, knitting for beginners, peg loom weaving, and cross stitch.

Most are one day courses, but some are for two days, and almost all courses cost £45 per day (unless otherwise stated). Prices include a buffet lunch and the materials used on the day, which can be taken home.

Participants receive 10% off anything they buy at Audlem Mill on the day - and this includes a wide range of needlework products, wool and patterns, canalware, books, and quality gifts for all the family.

To book a place contact Audlem Mill on 01270 811059 or email info@audlemmill.co.uk. Groups and societies should contact the mill to arrange a course on a day to suit them (minimum of six people required to form a group).
